The most important reason to sync your calendar, is in case of an interference of the system. When Viking would experience downtime, you still have all your customer data of the upcoming days/ weeks in your online 'backup' calendar.
How to connect
Go to Settings > Planning. On the bottom of the page you find the 'Calendar link'. This link can be imported in any external system that supports the 'iCal' format, like Google Calendar, iCloud calendar and most other third party calendar software.
It will sync all the lessons in your planning, with student names and planner notes.
Important! The refresh rate for synchronising often can be set in the client (with the exception of Google Calendar). When connecting your online agenda, make sure to have it set to refresh every 5 minutes. By default it is often set to hours and it might take a long time for changes in the planning to show up in the external calendar.
Unfortunately, the Google Calendar offers no control over the sync time and can have a delay of a few hours. This is something that we cannot control. If sync speed is important to you we advise to use iCloud (Apple) calendar.
