This depends on the setting 'automatically approve courses after' setting. You can find this if you go to settings - planning.
When selected a time here, the student is not able to book after the selected time.
When selected 'never' here, the student can book until the lesson starts. That's why, in the daily schedule, you can click the button 'block all slots for tomorrow' after you approved the lessons.
