The Revenue report shows how many bookings your school has received and their financial value, broken down by product and product category.
You can use it to see which activities generate revenue, how much has been paid, and how much is still unpaid.
Open the Revenue report
- Go to Reports in the main menu.
- The Revenue tab opens by default.
- Select the date range you want to review.
- Use the filter icon if you want to narrow down the results.
The report updates to show bookings for the selected period and filters.
Understand the Revenue overview
The report groups bookings by product category, with individual products listed underneath.
For each product, you can see:
- Paid bookings: Number of bookings for which at least some payment has been received. Partially paid bookings count here too.
- Unpaid bookings: Number of bookings for which no payment has been received.
- Total bookings: Total number of bookings.
- Paid amount: The amount already paid.
- Unpaid amount: The amount still outstanding.
- Total revenue: The combined value of the bookings.
Each product category has its own subtotal. At the bottom, you'll find the totals for the selected period.
How are partially paid bookings counted?
A partially paid booking counts as a Paid booking, even when there is still an outstanding balance.
For example, a customer books a €300 lesson package and pays €150.
The Revenue report shows:
- 1 Paid booking
- €150 Paid amount
- €150 Unpaid amount
- €300 Total revenue
The remaining €150 does not make this an additional Unpaid booking.
This distinction is important when comparing booking counts with paid and unpaid amounts.
Why can revenue figures change afterwards?
The Revenue report is based on when bookings were made, not necessarily when customers paid.
For example:
- A customer books a €300 lesson package in January.
- They pay €150 in January.
- They pay the remaining €150 in February.
If you open January's Revenue report again in February, the paid and unpaid amounts will have changed to reflect the additional payment.
The booking still belongs to January, but its payment status has changed.
Important: The Revenue report is not a fixed record of payments received during a particular month. Historical figures can change when customers pay later.
Find the bookings behind your revenue
If you want to see individual bookings rather than summarized figures:
- Open Reports → Export.
- Select the relevant date range.
- Choose Booking date to find bookings made during that period.
- Apply additional filters if needed.
You can then review individual bookings, their amounts, and payment statuses.
To check individual payments made during a period, use Reports → Transactions instead.
