Translating email templates

Translation and multi-language

Viking is compatible with multiple languages, and each customer is assigned a specific language. Typically, the customer's language is determined by the language used on the booking form they use. For example, if a customer books through a German form, their main language will be set to German by default.

If you wish to use multiple languages, you will need to translate all of your email templates at least once. We highly recommend that you initially create all the email templates for one language, test them, and only then begin the translation process.

To include a translation:

  1. Access a template and duplicate the text in the default language.
  2. Change the language to the desired one by selecting the option in the top right corner.
  3. Paste the text from the original language and commence the translation process.

Additionally, ensure that you accurately translate the names of your products as mentioned in this article.
